Great Raveley is a little village in Huntingdonshire. It's main claim to fame is that Rusty was born there, upside down in a barn on Orchard Farm. Orchard Farm belonged to Mr and Mrs Taylor, who are really nice people. Mike, the guy who started building Rusty, rented space in one of the barns on their farm, and this is where she was when we found her.
When the time came for us to take possession, Mr Taylor dragged her out of the barn and into a wide open space, where the cranes could get at her.
We have exchanged Christmas greetings and news with the Taylors ever since.
Their daughter came to visit us at Southwold once. Unfortunately neither of us were there that day, but Guy was working on Rusty, so hopefully he showed her around.
