A work trip to Treviso. Only short, but we have a weekend, and it's near Venice!



Sadly that is all we saw of Venice, a short stop on the way in. By the next day we were both incapacitated with 'flu. Spent the whole week coughing in an uninspiring hotel room.

We stayed on Rusty while my parents were visiting. It was fun at first - lots of beautiful flowers on the canal banks, and baby ducklings.







But then the loo blocked up, and I got an effluent shower during the unblocking attempts. We did eventually free it, but then it blocked again almost immediately. And again. And again.

My parents came to visit and explore Leuven. We walked too far and ate too much.

Blazing sunshine, so by the end of the week it was unpleasantly hot. Then we mostly just sat around outside cafes, drinking, snacking and absorbing the continental atmosphere.

Which means Longest Day, and Leuven has a party. We watched it all happen from a variety of cafes.
