Made some changes to the heating system, specifically the diesel feed to the stove. We replaced the ordinary filters with water trap filters, and fitted a tap at the high point in the pipe, where we always get an air lock. Then we couldn't get the diesel through the pipes - the weather is so cold it's gone waxy.

Definitely not moving back on board.

An Amsterdam friend, An, is lecturing in Brussels, and came to Leuven for a sociable evening. Discovered Gambinus, a lovely old fashioned cafe on the Grote Markt.

Also discovered that at this time of year the restaurant specials tend to be superbly cooked game.

We arrived back to snow. Very pretty and seasonal.

Not sure we have the strength of character to move back onto Rusty in this weather.

Very ill last night. Well, it's part of the experience, I suppose.



Managed to throw everything into a suitcase and get downstairs by checkout time, but feeling mangled, and looking it.

The hotel took pity on me and let me have the room back, as we weren't leaving till the evening.

I regret missing the last day's sightseeing. I never did get to ride a tuk-tuk.

Couldn't leave without another look at the market, especially the flower market.
